ULTRA 200

Material availability, workability, and low cost are often determining factors when purchasing pipe; abrasion resistance is often sacrificed. This may appear less expensive at the outset, but more frequent replacement and maintenance will quickly erode those initial savings.

Standard mild steel reaches a Brinell Hardness Number (BHN) of 120 BHN.  Ultra 200 Abrasion Resistant steel uses a proprietary chemistry that is inherently stronger than mild steel.  Our Ultra 200 pipe will come out of the mill at a nominal 220 BHN. This provides improved resistance to sliding abrasion inside the pipe yet is ductile enough on the exterior wall to withstand high impact and deformation abrasion.

This improved formulation enables UT 200 to last approximately twice as long as mild steel in most applications. Ultra 200 installation will result in fewer maintenance and replacement stoppages that will save money over the lifetime of your pipeline.

CHOOSE ULTRA 200 PIPE FOR:

  • High impact applications, as well as those with high abrasion/erosion
  • Improved wear resistance 1-1/2 to 2 times the life of mild steel
  • Lower total life-cycle cost than mild steel
  • Easy installation, field repair, or modification
  • Ultrasonic monitoring for well-timed rotations or replacement
  • Custom fabricated for flexibility in pipe system design

AVAILABLE FABRICATIONS:

  • Cut to exact lengths required
  • Field fitment utilizing proper cutting and welding practices
  • End attachments consisting of flanges, weld rings, and couplings
  • Tees & Laterals
  • Wyes & True Wyes
