The Ultra Tech Ultra Duty 8″ High Pressure Coupling is our top-of-the-line forged coupling, exceeding the pressure ratings of previous models at 2,650psi (182bar). Its slip-fit design instead of a male-female connection, means there is no need to jack pipe apart to disconnect the system. By eliminating the need for a cut groove on the pipe, this coupling system improves wear life and offers improved pressure ratings. Plus, the total weight (43.8lbs) of the coupling remains below NIOSH guidelines of 51lbs for single person lifting. Compared to other premium couplings on the market, the UD-8 coupling is safer, more affordable, and easier to install and maintain.
